The Administrative Information Systems (AIS) department consists of 46 FTE's and is organized into customer centric, service and project oriented workgroups. Currently, there are four workgroups aligned directly with our major customer groups to provide their specific support needs:
  • Office of the Provost   -   Registrar, Admissions, and Financial Aid
  • FUS-Finance  -   Accounting, Treasurer, A/R-Cashier, Facilities Services Group, Grant Accounting
  • FUS-Business -   Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Property Management
  • FUS-HR  -   HR-Payroll, HR-Benefits, HR-Employment, Affirmative Action

Two workgroups provide broad services across all the administrative customer-base. These workgroups are:

Project teams are formed on an as-needed basis by interim reallocation of personnel from the above workgroups. Currently active project teams are:

  • MARS - Managing Academic Revenues   -   New application encompassing tuition and fees assessment, application of financial aid to those tuition and fees, and accounts receivable processing. 
  • Library  -  Enhanced UI Library automation project

None of our services are provided in isolation but are provided through strong partnerships and collaborations with our customers and peer departments within ITS.
