Welcome to the Finance and University
Services-Business work group home page. The objective of our group is to
implement, enhance, support and maintain PeopleSoft Financials applications at
the University of Iowa. ORACLE/PeopleSoft,
the world’s largest enterprise software company, is a global leader in the
design and development of enterprise applications & databases. Our primary
customers at the University of Iowa are the departments of
Accounts Payable,
Purchasing,
Accounting Services and
Property Management. Our work includes system upgrades / implementation,
application of fixes, development, problem resolution and production support.
In addition to the support of PeopleSoft applications, we also develop
stand-alone and integrated financials web-based applications. All of our
work is done in close collaboration with our customers. The AIS technical team members are:

PeopleSoft Financials version 6.0 for Accounts Payable and Purchasing was first implemented in January, 1998, followed soon after by Asset Management in April, 1998. We are currently running version 7.52 for these modules. In July 2005 we will upgrade to version 8.8 and also implement the General Ledger module. Implementation of Inventory Control is also being planned.
