Reviewed commercially available software to assist web page developers in building accessible web sites. Demonstrated LIFT Software to Campus Webmasters.

Updated templates/style sheets to meet 508 guidelines, Dec 01 – Jan 02.
ITS-Academic Technologies provides several templates to faculty for creating web pages. These templates are now 508 compliant. Group decided not to pursue templates further because they do little to help designers adhere to standards. The user of a template can’t actually “see” the added features that ensure compliance. Templates turn out to be not a good learning tool
.

Updated the Campus IT Leaders on the purpose and work of the committee. Asked them to complete a survey collecting information on the volume of web publishing-related activities in their colleges.
